Assignment # 2

I agree with that statement because when your in high school the friends you choice most of the time have the biggest influence on what you do in life and the kind of choices you make. At the same time i disagree because you can hang out with people that do bad stuff but still have friends that do and encourage you to do your work and stay on task in school. I have friends that may smoke but when we hang out its still fun because that's not always the case and it's never effected me because i don't smoke. It depends on who you are if you let everyone tell you that your not cool because your being yourself than they're not your true friends. My friends have never made me feel like that because they know it's not me and they respect me by not doing it around me and that's important to me. Not being part of the moment or the in crowd sometimes is the right thing because you don't want to get caught up in the wrong stuff.

Assignment #1

1. Why do you think Rameck made the choices he did? He knew right from wrong, so what motivated him to choose the "wrong" path as a teen? I think that Rameck made the choices he made simply because he wanted to fit in and be cool to his boys. His friends are why Rameck keeps getting on the wrong path.

2. Considering both his parents were drug addicts, was he really responsible for his actions? Explain your opinion. I don't think he was because growing up Rameck didn't have either of his parents to teach him right from wrong he saw stuff that hurt him so as he got older his parents were not the ones helping him be a better person it was teachers and others in his life. After getting in trouble a couple times Rameck decided it was time to do better and then start hanging out with different people that were about something.

3. Are young people responsible for their actions if they have no good role models or people to teach them the right way to live? Explain your opinion. Yes i think they are although not every teen in this world has both parents or role models in their lives it is your responsibility as a young adult to make something of yourself and show everyone you can be someone without having others involved and if you don't have parents turn to someone at school or maybe even a superstar.

4. Who are the biggest influences in your own life? In what ways have they shaped you? What have they taught you? My sisters are my biggest influences in my life because when they were my age they did a lot more than me they got into trouble and from living with them my whole life i promised my mom when i was little i wasn't going to be like that and i kept that i do not get into trouble i listen tomy mom and i make sure to be in when she tells me. I have done dumb stuff before but my sisters are the first ones to yell at me because they have always told me do good and listen to mom and as i got older i really take all the talks i've had with them and whenever im making decisions i think about my mom and what the consequences would be.
